Excellent collection of articles. My family is from Mayfield and Graves County, and my great great grandfather served as a Captain with the 7th Kentucky Vol. Infantry and was wounded as Shiloh. His unit started the war as the Felicianna Invincibles – it’s be interesting to read about the pre-war preparations on both sides, the Home Guard and organization of militia forces into actual military units. Great stuff, and keep up the good work. -Ed McAlister
